CDAO appears before all-party committee reviewing Metrolinx

The Construction Design Alliance of Ontario was invited to make a presentation to Legislative Assembly of Ontario’s Standing Committee on Government Agencies reviewing the operations of Metrolinx. CDAO Chair Clive Thurston and David Zurawel, Manager of Stakeholder Relations with Consulting Engineers of Ontario made the formal presentation to the all-party committee on Dec. 3, 2013. Also in attendance in support of the initiative was Ontario Road Builders’ Association Executive Director Geoff Wilkinson and Ontario General Contractors Association Director of Government Relations David Frame. CDAO believes Metrolinx must undertake three commitments to improve or change how it conducts business when it comes to procuring its infrastructure projects.  These commitments are:

Underpinning each of these commitments is the philosophy of ensuring value and return on investment for taxpayer dollars.
