CDAO Seeking an Association Management & Administration Assistant
The Construction & Design Alliance of Ontario is seeking an administration support consultant service. The Construction & Design Alliance of Ontario (CDAO) is seeking administration support consultant service on an hourly basis. Based on past consultant services, CDAO anticipates an average of three to four days of support per month. This time commitment is subject to change based on CDAO’s priorities and undertakings. This is a part time, virtual position.
In collaboration with the Board Chair, Board of Directors, and various working groups, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of CDAO, including:
Taking and distribution of board and member forum minutes
Bookkeeping tasks e.g., receiving and processing invoices, membership invoicing and banking activities
Membership coordination and communication
Event Planning including CDAO’s Annual General meeting and Procurement Day (2026)
Qualifications
At least 3 years of administration experience, preferably within an industry association.
Experience supporting executives or managing office operations.
Event planning, member services, or board meeting coordination experience.
Proficiency with office software and communications platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Understanding of accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and financial recordkeeping.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and experience using Plooto or similar platforms for automating payments, approvals, and vendor management.
Ability to reconcile transactions and assist with monthly financial reporting in coordination with a bookkeeper or accountant.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
