Our Mission

As an alliance of organizations focused on Ontario’s infrastructure, The Construction & Design Alliance of Ontario’s (CDAO) mission is to provide a unified voice to promote livable, sustainable, and marketable communities while championing innovative and leading-edge infrastructure projects across the province.

Incorporated as a non-profit entity in 2014, CDAO serves as a collaborative forum for discussion, development, and advocacy on issues affecting the broader construction and design industry in relation to provincial government policy, legislation, and regulations.

CDAO works with municipal and provincial governments to provide collective input and expert advice from stakeholders, supporting fair and competitive tendering processes and advocating for proactive, strategic investment in Ontario’s infrastructure. We emphasize the importance of a long-term, minimum ten-year investment strategy and comprehensive urban planning.

To foster meaningful dialogue, CDAO organizes symposiums, publishes research reports, and advocates for evidence-based solutions.

Our Mandate

The Construction & Design Alliance of Ontario (CDAO) serves as a platform for discussion, development, and advocacy on critical issues affecting the broader construction and design industry. Focused on provincial government policy, legislation, and regulation, CDAO fosters collaboration among stakeholders to develop consensus-based opinions and recommendations.

These recommendations are grounded in robust research and analysis, ensuring they are well-informed and effectively communicated to government decision-makers in a professional and impactful manner.
